Ascension Health
Ascension Health needs to update its visual identity system to incorporate its new strategic direction, including several application samples to provide clarity for all communications. The result is a complete system, using the Strategic Direction tree graphic, which allows each project to identify the department and subsequent initiative in support of the strategic direction.

In 2000, fister created the current visual identity system for Ascension Health. It was important that this identity reflect a faith-based, innovative leader in healthcare. The use of the flame shape references the Holy Spirit while also representing Ascension Health’s innovation and leadership. The flame shape has been modified over the years, but the original intent remains. Since then, Ascension Health has developed a Strategic Direction and requested that it be incorporated into the visual identity system. fister developed a few concepts to address this request, with the end result being the “footer” option that you see.
