HR Recruitment Campaign

St. Elizabeth’s Hospital

St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, like all area hospitals, faced the challenge of attracting qualified nursing candidates, based on the overall shortage among nurses. Plus, HR communications did not fully reflect the hospital’s new brand and visual identity. The result was a recruitment campaign, which included a folder, brochure, recruitment card and microsite—all supporting the theme, “Be part of the momentum.”

From a human resources perspective, 1,200 employees requires that St. Elizabeth’s HR department move swiftly to recruit for new positions. Because of this, HR often created its own materials. Yet, these communications did not connect with the hospital’s overall brand and presented mixed messages among audiences. Therefore, the goals were to created a campaign with a unified message as well as provide supporting tools and templates for HR to use for recruitment going forward.

In addition, the hospital was moving to computer-based learning and wanted to push the audience to its website. fister created a tiered-approach: large brochure with pocket for realistic candidates, smaller brochure for trade shows and potential candidates, and a small recruitment card for employee referrals. The microsite allowed St. Elizabeth’s to post detailed and timely information so the printed pieces would have a longer shelf life.
